380 VRX on Xede
MOD:
Chip Torque Exede Processor

Notes: Intake temp was very high; colder intake should hit 200hp. Hi and LO values mean dual maps - Lo is for lower quality fuel or better fuel economy.
Special Thanks to Chip Torque; first 380 auto to be chipped in Australia.

Okay, I finally got mine dynoed. While not in the same league as Knotched and Foozrcool, I was pleased to see mine's made the same power as Knotched's first dyno run, despite having different mods.
What I have here is: Berklee straight thru rear muffler, US Galant 90mm intake, K&N filter, removed under-bonnet front rubber strip, removed plastic engine cover, and running 98 octane fuel.
So for people running these simple & affordable mods, this is roughly what you will recieve.

The video has been posted on YouTube also, and shows 139kW and 200+km/h. It is the ONLY video of a 380 having dyno power run.

Needless to say not happy.
This is with 90mm intake
K&N Panel Filter
2.5" exhaust with high flow muffler all stainless steel
Custom Extractors
Unichip Q fitted and (supposedly) tuned.

well tonight went to SKR and stuck my car on the rollers. i wanted a before reading before i start doing the engine mods.
average was 149kw atw. highest was 150.3kw atw. its a good starting point. got an intake restriction at the top end so will be looking at custom maf sensor and throttle body.
engine mods on this run were
2.5" exhaust from headers back into twin 2.5" at rear
galant 90mm intake
secondry intake (50mm)

Read 'em and weep
Got back a while ago from SKR after having some dyno runs.
Sorry boys & girls, some of you may be a little disappointed with my results.
Seems we have a new NA 380 king!
183.6kw and 375.5NM atw
Scans attached.
I tried four different combinations:
1. With K&N filter and 'enhanced' lower resonator mod (i.e. how I run it as standard)
2. With stock air filter & enhanced lower resonator mod
3. With K&N filter & lower resonator mod blocked off
4. With stock air filter & lower resonator mod blocked off
The results were very close for all four configurations, ranging from 181.9kw to 183.6kw.
The stock air filter element consistently gave better results than the K&N.
Maybe because my K&N is a little dirty and the stocker is relatively clean.
I have not over oiled my K&N.
But there seems little doubt that the stocker is at least as good as the K&N if not slightly better.
With the intake lower resonator mod (end cut off and connected by a tube to the open driving light hole), it made very little difference to the power whether I had it open or blocked off, but surprisingly top end torque (5,000 rpm plus) was a bit better with it blocked off.
Steve was happy with the results and pleasantly surprised by them (me too!).
I asked him about a piggyback ECU and he reckoned I would be wasting my time considering the power & torque figures I am already getting. He said the stock ECU adapts very well to 98 RON (which I use exclusively), by advancing the timing and leaning out the AFR a bit, and a piggyback wouldn't do a better job.
KJ.

Ok... I have deleted like a million posts from this thread that are noting to do with the original topic. Please use this thread to only post your dyno results.
All discussion about the dyno results are to go into this thread here...
